Training specialist

-          Preferred location: Dallas, Boston or Vancouver

 

Responsibilities:

-          Assess the training needs of teams for selected SCM tool

-          Analyze the differences between the team’s current SCM tool and the selected SCM tool and develop tailored training materials

-          Analyze different unit SCM processes and map to new SCM processes

-          Develop training plans and strategies for selected SCM tool

-          Develop training materials for both key users and developers with emphasis on using self-paced learning methods

-          Some traveling might be required

 

 

Skills and Experience:

-          5-7 years experience developing training plans and materials for large software development organizations with an emphasis on software lifecycle development tools (particularly SCM tools)

-          Working knowledge of Subversion required.  Working knowledge of other VCS tools (Perforce, Subversion, ClearCase, Synergy) desired

-          Working knowledge of source code control processes using Subversion

-          Familiarity with ISD (instructional system design)

-          MS Office expertise

-          Experience with an LMS (learning management system)

-          Experience with e-learning tools, such as Adobe Captivate

-          Excellent communication skills, written, spoken, and presentation

-          Previous experience working in a geographically distributed team desired

-          Experience in front of audiences (3+ years)

-          Ability to improvise

-          Desire to share knowledge

-          Ability to work as part of a team

-          Ability to utilize and incorporate constructive feedback
