Software Configuration Management specialist

-          Preferred location: Dallas, Boston or Vancouver

 

Responsibilities:

-          Gather technical/build environment requirements from SW projects

-          Drive the solution implementation for selected SCM tool across the organization

-          Provide support and technical assistance pre and post Go Live for selected SCM tool

-          Work within global team to provide Subversion administration

-          Provide SCM consulting and problem solving recommendations to project development teams

-          Administer WanDisco multi-site replication applications/utilities

-          Some traveling might be required

 

Skills and Experience

-          Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience from relevant fields together with software development experience

-          3-5 years of experience administering SCM tools in large distributed organizations (SVN required; CVS, Perforce, ClearCase, Synergy preferred)

-          Knowledgeable of SCM practices and experienced implementing in large diverse organizations

-          Demonstrated experience in developing administration and automation tools using UNIX shell scripting (Korn or Borne) and Perl scripting

-          Working knowledge of UNIX servers (Sun and Linux operating systems) and server administration

-          Experience with WanDisco multi-site application would be desired

-          Self motivating with the ability to prioritize tasks in the absence of direct guidance.  Previous experience working in a geographically distributed team desired

-          Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

-          Ability to work as part of a team

-          Ability to establish collaborative relationships
